Wishing all of our members, friends, and supporters the very best of the Holiday Season! We hope that you all enjoy quality time with your family and friends and wish you all the best in the coming New Year.

Please remember to reach out to those you know who may be experiencing difficult days around the holidays. A friendly hello can mean so much to someone who is feeling alone or disconnected!

The KINRC Very Merry Christmas holiday event was held on Tuesday, December 16th at the Weston Memorial Community Centre.

150 members, friends, and supporters came out to celebrate with us at this special event – and what an event it was!

It takes a small army to put an event of this nature together, and we are so fortunate to have a wonderful and dedicated team of volunteers and supportive community organizations who come together to help put it all together! From decorating, reception, ticket/card/mug sellers, bakers, beverage station, raffle team, and everything in between - to each and every one of you, we thank you for your gifts, talents, and contributions!

We heard the jingle bells ring and the excitement started! So happy that Santa and one of his elves could take time out of their busy schedules to visit us for selfies and treats. Fun games including Chase the Ace and CUPS were played with gift cards given to the last ones standing. Our Golden Friends Dance Group, dressed in stunning red gowns, dazzled us with a beautiful Christmas Waltz and fun filled line dance as their closing number. Our friends at Budget Catering prepared a delicious “melt in your mouth” Roast Beef luncheon that had us all cheering, and this was topped off by a special selection of baked holiday cookies by KINRC members that was the perfect close to a wonderful festive meal. A fine selection of raffle and door prizes were available to be won by our guests that day – thanks to all who contributed towards these fantastic prizes!

We appreciated visits from our elected officials to bring greetings from their respective ridings, MP Lean Gazan from Winnipeg North, The Hon. Malaya Marcelino, Minister of Labour and Immigration, MLA for Notre Dame, and Chasity Martinuk representing City Councillor for Point Douglas, Vivian Santos. Cindy Lamoureux, MLA for Tyndall Park, sent a message of greetings to our guests as she regretfully was unable to attend.

On behalf of the Board of KINRC and our staff, we thank you for joining us and helping make it a memorable event for all!

Hello everyone!

The Cozy Holidays at Home prize draws were held this afternoon at 1pm. We are still waiting to hear back from several raffle winners before posting our winning ticket names and numbers to our page.

We would like to thank every single person who supported this event in your own special way. Ticket buyers, prize donors, our ticket sellers, the volunteers who spent countless hours making the packages look so attractive and thoughtful, we just could not have done it without YOU! We would also like to thank our newest supporters who learned more about KINRC on Facebook during the Cozy Holidays at Home campaign - thank you for supporting us!
