Today, on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we join communities around the world in raising awareness about the importance of protecting the rights, dignity, and well-being of older adults.

Elder abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, financial, and social harm. By increasing awareness, fostering respect, and supporting safe environments, we can all play a role in preventing abuse and ensuring older adults are treated with the dignity they deserve.

Together, let's stand up for respect, inclusion, and quality of life for all older adults.

Today, on National Long-Term Care Day, we come together to honour the heart and soul of Manitoba’s long-term care communities—our residents, families, caregivers, staff, volunteers, and leaders. 💙

Long-term care is not just a service—it’s a home, a community, and a place where compassion, respect, and connection thrive every day. The dedication and kindness shown by everyone involved make a real difference in the lives of thousands of Manitobans.

At LTCAM, we are inspired by your resilience and commitment. Thank you for making care feel like home and for bringing hope, comfort, and dignity to those who need it most.

Let’s celebrate the people who make long-term care extraordinary. You are the heart of our community!

The LTCAM team is excited to be exhibiting at the 2026 Community-Based Seniors’ Services (CBSS) Sector Summit at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre in Winnipeg!

This year’s theme, The Power of Community: From Local Vision to National Action on Ageing, brings together organizations, leaders, advocates, and partners from across Canada who are committed to strengthening supports for older adults and building age-friendly communities. (helpagecanada.ca)

If you’re attending the Summit, be sure to stop by and connect with us. We’d love to chat about long-term care, continuing care, supportive housing, and the important work being done across Manitoba to support seniors and caregivers.

We look forward to meeting attendees, sharing ideas, and building new connections throughout the event.

We are out in the community today at the Pros Know 55+ Active Living & Resource Expo at Charleswood United Church.

The Long Term & Continuing Care Association of Manitoba (LTCAM) is here sharing information on supportive housing, assisted living, long-term care resources, and services available for older adults and families across Manitoba.

It’s always great connecting with community members, care providers, seniors, and families while helping people navigate the continuum of care.

If you’re attending the expo, stop by and say hello to our team.
