So proud of having completed this 10 week program. It was so empowering and self assuring. I’m now implementing so many new ideas into all my tap classes!

Today, on GivingTuesday, your donation will help dancers like those from Sol de España and Bolero Dance Theatre who were able to travel to Spain thanks to the funding they received through Folklorama’s Cultural Preservation Fund.

The group travelled to different parts of Spain learning traditional folk dances, how the influences of other countries or cultural groups affect different dances, and how climate and terrain affect how people dance in certain regions.

They came home armed with the skills to keep their culture thriving here in Winnipeg by sharing new choreography with fellow students and audiences!

When you donate to the Cultural Preservation Fund (CPF), you’re helping Folklorama members like Sol de España and Bolero Dance Theatre celebrate and preserve their ethno-cultural practices, and ensure they’re around for generations to come!
