MayWorks Winnipeg

MayWorks Winnipeg MayWorks Festival of Labour and the Arts is a multi-disciplinary festival that focuses on working class themes.

It is held in Winnipeg every year throughout the month of May to honour and promote the many positive contributions of unions and working people in general. Inspired by events surrounding the anniversary of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike, MayWorks focuses on the art produced both by artists (with their depiction of the working class life) and by workers with their own interpretation of their lives and struggles.
