🔧 From Apprentice to Journeyperson: Life as a Steamfitter

Join Malaya Gertley and Kyla Clarke as they share an inside look at the trade—from their first days on the job and experiences in trade school to the challenges, successes, and opportunities they’ve encountered along the way.
Through personal stories and real-world experiences, they’ll explore what it takes to succeed, the different career pathways available, and where a career in Steamfitting can take you.

Whether you’re considering the skilled trades, starting your apprenticeship, or simply curious about life on the jobsite, this keynote is one you won’t want to miss!

We honour the children who never returned home, survivors, and the families and communities impacted by the residential school system. We remain committed to creating opportunities that empower people to build brighter futures while recognizing the lasting impacts of the past.
