Everyone meet one of our incredible Instructors: ✨Serena✨
Serena is entering her fourth year of Engineering at the University of Manitoba, where she is pursuing a degree in Biosystems Engineering! 🧬🌿⚙️
This is Serena’s third summer working with WISE Kid-Netic Energy as a Spring Workshop Instructor, and we are so lucky to have her continued leadership, creativity, and STEM passion on our team.
Serena loves to travel, play sports, do photography, and play piano. A fun fact about Serena is that this summer, she will be participating in the International Small Wind Turbine Competition in the Netherlands! 🌍

Every summer, campers join us to build, experiment, problem-solve, laugh, and explore the exciting world of STEM through hands-on activities and amazing instructors.

From messy science experiments to engineering challenges, coding activities, teamwork, outdoor fun, and big “I did it!” moments — STEM Camp is all about making learning feel like an adventure.

Say hello to one of our incredible Instructors: ✨Zander✨

Zander is in his 5th year studying Psychology at the University of Manitoba. After graduating, he hopes to enter the Faculty of Education and become a science teacher. 🔬

Zander brings curiosity, creativity, and a passion for teaching to our WISE Kid-Netic energy team, and we are excited to have him helping youth explore STEM this Spring & Summer!

A fun fact about Zander is that he enjoys playing drums and percussion at local jams. 🎶

What can you expect at a WISE STEM Day Camp? All camps have daily Science & Technology Theme Days!
One of the Theme Days is Paleoencology Science Day!

Take a journey back in time with us to explore how the earliest creatures interacted with their environment. We will explore all parts of ecosystems, starting with soil, plants, animals, and even taking an up-close look at one of Earth’s smallest lifeforms by looking at pond water samples under a microscope, and some of the largest animals that are now extinct. Campers will learn the art of cleaning and preserving bones and fossil making, and they will create their own self-sustaining terrariums!

Everyone meet one of our wonderful Instructors: ✨Leena✨ It's her first few weeks with WISE Kid-Netic Energy and we are so excited to have her join us!

Leena is going into her 3rd year of Integrated Education at the University of Winnipeg. She is studying Biology with a minor in Chemistry and hopes to become a high school science teacher! She also plans to pursue her Master’s in Library Informatics and Systems after graduation. 📚


Leena brings such a thoughtful and engaging energy to STEM education, and we are so excited to have her working with youth this Spring & Summer.

A fun fact about Leena is that she has been playing the harmonium for 14 years — and now teaches it too! 🎹

One of the Theme Days is AI & Robotics Science Day!

Let’s jump into the future where all things are Artificial Intelligence and robotic! Campers will dive into what AI is, how it works, and how we can use it safely. Campers will combine robotics and AI in an autonomous vehicle challenge with Ozobots and have the opportunity to fly drones. Campers will learn how AI can help us study animals by recording motion data through AI machine learning. Campers will even have the opportunity to befriend and play games with a robot friend named Cozmo!

Hi, this is Ayesha! She is going into her 3rd year of Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba. 🖥️

Ayesha is excited to keep exploring the many paths that Computer Engineering can lead to, and we are so lucky to have her bringing that curiosity and creativity to WISE this Spring & Summer! 👩‍💻

A fun fact about Ayesha is that she likes to make friends with squirrels, chipmunks, and birds in her backyard. 🐿️🐣

What can you expect at a WISE STEM Day Camp? All camps have daily Science & Technology Theme Days!

One of the Theme Days is Flight Science Day!

Take to the skies as we explore the science of flight and the differences of how humans and animals sore through the air! Campers will discover how wings, air
pressure, and lift work together to make flight possible. Through hands-on activities, campers will design and test different flying creations such as paper airplanes and parachutes to see which designs travel the farthest. Campers will also explore how bird wings work differently than planes. By the end of the day, campers will be thinking like engineers and inventors as they test what it takes to truly take flight.

Everyone meet one of our fantastic Instructors: ✨Arbien✨ We are lucky to have Instructor who care so much about the role they play in young learners lives!

Arbien, also known as Miss R.B., has just finished her second year at the University of Manitoba. She plans to continue Nursing in Fall 2026 and work toward becoming a Registered Nurse. After graduation, she hopes to further her education and explore becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Anesthesia Assistant. 🩺

Arbien brings so much warmth, care, and enthusiasm to our team, and we are so happy to have her supporting youth in STEM this Spring & Summer!

In her free time, she loves playing volleyball and badminton with friends. A fun fact about Arbien is that she loves sushi and matcha! 🍣🍵

We have such an incredible group of Instructors working with us, and we cannot wait for you to meet them!

What can you expect at a WISE STEM Day Camp? All camps have daily Science & Technology Theme Days!

One of the Theme Days is Sports Science Day!

Get ready to move, experiment, and get creative as we explore the science behind sports and the human body! Campers will learn how joints, balance, and their dominant side help us through fun physical challenges and hands-on activities. Campers will also explore how exercise affects how your brain remembers information and through our daily lives. Using their creativity, campers will design and build their own sport activities and see the effects that different things have. By combining movement, teamwork, and creativity, campers will experience how science helps us play, perform, and innovate in the world of sports and the science behind it.
