29 maja 2026 r. Urząd Stanu Cywilnego m.st. Warszawy przekazał do Archiwum Głównego Akt Dawnych kolejne księgi metrykalne z tzw. „Archiwum Zabużańskiego". Przekazano 166 ksiąg z parafii rzymskokatolickich, 42 księgi z izraelickich urzędów metrykalnych oraz 2 księgi z parafii ewangelickich.

Księgi będą dostępne dla użytkowników po opracowaniu, włączeniu do właściwych zespołów archiwalnych oraz wykonaniu skanów, które zostaną umieszczone na stronie www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl. Ze względu na planowaną termomodernizację budynku AGAD oraz prowadzoną relokację zasobu archiwalnego do innych miejsc przechowywania, dostępność nie będzie możliwa wcześniej niż pod koniec 2026 r.

Wśród przekazanych ksiąg izraelickich znajduje się księga metrykalna urodzeń z gminy wyznaniowej Mikulińce, zawierająca akt urodzenia Janusza Morgensterna – polskiego reżysera filmowego i telewizyjnego oraz producenta filmowego.

Janusz Morgenstern urodził się 16 listopada 1922 r. Jako reżyser stworzył m.in. filmy i seriale: „Stawka większa niż życie", „Kolumbowie", „Trzeba zabić tę miłość", „Polskie drogi". Jako producent filmowy odpowiadał m.in. za tytuły: „Europa, Europa", „Panna Nikt", „Złoto dezerterów", „Chłopaki nie płaczą" oraz „Komornik".
