intergenerational dialogue:

Somali HelpAge organized an Intergenerational dialogue supported by Manitoba Association of Seniors Communities. The event was an important step that will create an opportunity to connect and share ideas and experiences between young and older people in Winnipeg.

Therefore, we brought together group of seniors (older adults) and youth from black communities to exchange their opinions and brainstorm ideas.

It was very interesting to witness that both seniors and youth groups highlighted their willingness to cooperate and connect each other despite of numerous challenges and obstacles they face to address to be able to have strong relationships and connections between the
two generations

We will continue supporting intergenerational dialogue in order to ensure our communities have strong and positive connections between generations.
