📺 Watch Canada take on Qatar at Assiniboine Park!

Join us on June 18 for an outdoor watch party of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ match between Canada and Qatar. Celebrate the beautiful game in a beautiful place!

Assiniboine Park & Zoo will have the big game on the big screen at the Lyric Theatre, plus:

⚽ Live music featuring K Chedda of Tempo Collective
⚽ Bouncy houses
⚽ Interactive soccer activities hosted by the Manitoba Soccer Association and Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association
⚽ A variety of food and beverages available for purchase, including an 18+ beer garden

Pre-game festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. and will be hosted by from 103.1 Virgin Radio, with game kickoff at 5:00 pm. Whether you are a devoted soccer fan or simply looking for a fun summer evening with family and friends, there's no better place to cheer on Canada!

Free to attend, all ages welcome.

In accordance with The Protecting Youth in Sports Act, all Provincial Sport Organizations are mandated to formally adopt a new Safe Sport Policy Manual, which includes the following safe sport policies:
1. Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy;
2. Discipline and Complaints Policy;
3. Alternate Dispute Resolution Policy;
4. Appeal Policy;
5. Respect in Sport Policy; and
6. Coach Screening Policy Minimum Requirements.

Sam Powell is doing Manitoba proud!!!
She grew up in the Manitoba soccer system, playing with AK Soccer Academy, 1v1 Futbol Dreams, FC Northwest, Winnipeg South End United and the Manitoba Soccer Regional Excel Centre.

Samantha has been called up by Canada Soccer to represent Canada’s Women’s Under-17 National Team (CANW17) at the Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers. The second and final stage of the Confederation’s qualifying competition for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026™ will take place from 17–22 March 2026 at the headquarters of the Costa Rican Football Federation in San Rafael, Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Last weekend was incredible at the Manitoba Winter Games!⚽

We wrapped up the inaugural Futsal competition on Saturday with an amazing display of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship from all regions. Seeing all the athletes come together for this photo perfectly captures what the Games are all about; competition, respect, and community.

Congratulations to the East Region for winning both the Boys and Girls Futsal Finals! 🏆

The Manitoba Soccer Community honours and remembers Ralph Cantafio, a true pioneer and passionate advocate for the beautiful game in our community. ⚽

Ralph dedicated decades of his life to growing and supporting soccer in Manitoba. His vision and leadership helped elevate the sport locally and inspired generations of players, coaches, and supporters.

He played a key role in bringing professional soccer to Winnipeg with the Winnipeg Fury, and his lifelong commitment to the sport earned him induction into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.

In recognition of his tremendous impact on the game, the city proudly named the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex in his honour; a lasting tribute to the legacy he built for soccer in Manitoba.

Ralph’s passion, dedication, and love for the game helped shape the soccer community we know today. His influence will continue to live on through the many lives he touched and the countless players who will follow in his footsteps.

Rest in peace, Ralph.
Your legacy in the beautiful game will never be forgotten. 🕊️⚽
