🌱 WE DID IT! 🌱
A massive, heartfelt thank you goes out to Noel Beckel for his incredible help in building nine brand-new 4’x8’ raised garden beds! Noel, your tireless efforts and willingness to brave the scorching heat to prepare the site were absolutely invaluable. We truly couldn’t have done this without you! 🙌🔨

We also want to send a huge thank you to every single person who came out to shovel dirt and came to our rescue to get this project across the finish line. Through the intense heat and some definite sunburns, you all showed up with amazing energy, and we managed to get things done! ✅

Our community space is growing, and it’s all thanks to this incredible village.

Thank you all so much! ❤️🌾

🌱 Big Changes are Blooming for the Winakwa Garden Program!
Important Update: Because we are moving our site this year, we want to make sure everything is perfectly prepped for your plants. The projected planting date for this season will start June 1st!
We’re moving! To stay ahead of the curve and ensure our garden keeps growing strong for years to come, we are relocating closer to the Winakwa Community Centre next to the rink.
In response to potential land-use changes by the LRSD, we are being proactive and moving our first 12 boxes to the cozy spot between the parking lot and the rink. This new home comes with some great perks: better lighting for evening gardening and extra security thanks to the existing cameras; helping us keep those pesky vandalism issues in the past!
Let’s make this the best growing season yet at our new location! 🌻
