Volleyball Manitoba The governing body for the sport of volleyball in the province of Manitoba. Incorporated in 1977 as a non-profit association, VM services over 4000 members.

Volleyball Manitoba is hiring! 🏐️

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our casual event staff team for tournaments and events throughout the season!

As a member of our event staff team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the behind-the-scenes action of our tournaments and events, working alongside our team to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience for our athletes and spectators.

Volleyball Manitoba's Liam Markesteyn and Allen De Ocampo had the opportunity to be a part of the Calm Air Sport Series in Thompson over the weekend! ✈

The Calm Air sport series is a collaboration between Sport Manitoba, R.D. Parker Collegiate and Volleyball Manitoba which brought coaches to Thompson to help run a free three day volleyball skill development camp for high school students. 🏐

Over 60 athletes participated throughout the weekend! they learned new drills while also refining their pre-existing skills and knowledge of the game. But most of all, they had FUN! 😎

This camp could not have been possible without the coaches who helped out over the weekend. As well, thank you to Sport Manitoba's Iris Murray and R.D. Parker Collegiate's Tairra Warren for organizing the camp and ensuring it went smoothly! 🙌

🏅 Officials’ Female Mentorship Program

Sport Manitoba’s Officials’ Female Mentorship Program is designed to support and grow a strong community of female officials across Manitoba. 💪

👩 Mentees: Female registered officials with a Provincial Sport Organization and at least 1 year of officiating experience.

👩‍🏫 Mentors: Female registered officials with at least 5 years of officiating experience who are ready to share their knowledge and experience.

🤝 What to expect:
- Flexible virtual or in-person mentorship
- Meetings 1–2 times per month, based on what works for each pair
- Professional development focused on real officiating experiences
- Topics such as handling gendered comments, advancing through officiating ranks, and building confidence in high-pressure situations
- Group learning and networking opportunities with officials from across Manitoba
- A final networking event to connect, share a meal, and celebrate the officiating community

Looking to take the next step in your coaching development? Our next Development Coach Workshop is coming up next week! This workshop is designed to help coaches build their knowledge, confidence, and effectiveness on the court.

Workshop Schedule (all four sessions are mandatory):
- Introduction Session: September 28 (8-9pm)
- Module 1: October 5 (7-9pm)
- Module 2: October 13 (7-9pm)
- Module 3: October 19 (7-9pm)

In 2021 Justin Duff's daughter received life saving surgery at the Children's hospital.

"I have felt a tremendous gratitude to the hospital and its staff ever since. My family experienced firsthand how difficult an extended hospital stay can be, and I know for a fact that every child inside those walls deserves a moment to smile and a chance to feel like a kid. Suspended Superheroes is an amazing event, and I am so honoured to have the opportunity to participate."
