Winnipeg, we need to have a real conversation.

Rural Prides are out here doing the tough work in communities where showing up as q***r is an act of resistance. They are asking for support, for numbers, for community to stand with them… and once again, we are falling short.

This is what solidarity looks like. Not just showing up for the big city party, but getting on a bus and being present where it actually matters.

The Sparkle Shuttle exists for a reason. It removes barriers. It makes it easy. And still: seats are empty.

If you’ve been saying you want to “do more,” this is it.

If you can go: **buy a ticket. Show up. Be loud. Take up space where it counts.**

If you can’t go: **donate a seat. Make it possible for someone else to be there.**

If you can’t do either: **share this post like it matters, because it does.**

These Prides are facing real hate, real pushback, and real isolation. Strength in numbers is survival.

We have 7 days to show that Winnipeg actually cares.

Right now? It’s not looking like we do.

Prove that wrong.

We are excited to announce that this year's Trans March will be held on Saturday, June 6th, and we are looking for speakers and performers! Speakers will be at the Ledge prior to the march, and performers will be on the stage at the Forks after the march.

Priority will be given to Indigenous voices, people of color, rural perspectives, trans youth (with parental support), and trans parents in the spirit of equity and equality, to ensure diversity, representation, and encourage safe(r) space practices.

📝Please fill out the google form (link in bio) by 11:59pm on May 13. All applications will be sent to our organizing collective to select programming for this year's event.

The organizing committee is a group of Trans/non-binary/gender-non-conforming folks gathering in a non-hierarchical, de-centralized approach, focusing on equity and safe spaces to develop programming for the Trans and gender-diverse community. The group includes individuals from 2Spirit Manitoba Inc., Manitoba Moon Voices Inc., Bahaghari Pride Manitoba, Trans Manitoba, the Trans Health Klinic, Sunshine House, Pride Winnipeg and community members.

Say hello to the **Sparkle Shuttle**: a 54 seat, bathroom equipped bus bringing our communities together by connecting folks from Winnipeg to Pride celebrations across the province. Because Pride shouldn’t be limited by distance or gas prices.

We’re heading to **Pembina Valley Pride** and we want YOU on board. Next on the list is **SELKIRK** and **PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE** July, August, and September will reveal more!

Check Your Emails! If you applied for the MPA Grant, decisions have been emailed out. This year we had $25,000 to divvy up to support Pride events across Manitoba! The requests totalled over $72,000, and shows the immense need for funding to support and protect these events.
