Yesterday, ACOMI staff came together to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony and opening match, celebrating the spirit of football, culture, and community.

Tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming the community for another exciting World Cup Watch Party.

On Friday evening, ACOMI’s Building Resilience Project hosted an inspiring youth empowerment session titled “Rooted and Unshakable: Building Character Through Sports.”

Led by community leader and youth mentor Gode Katembo, the session brought together 24 participants, including 22 youth and young adults and 2 parents.

Through engaging discussions and personal stories, participants explored self-worth, confidence, leadership, resilience, peer pressure, and the role of sports in personal growth. The session provided practical tools and valuable insights to help young people overcome challenges and build a strong foundation for success.

A special thank you to Gode Katembo for sharing his knowledge and experience, and to all participants for making the evening a success.

Vendredi soir, le projet Renforcer la résilience d’ACOMI a tenu une séance d’autonomisation des jeunes intitulée « Enracinés et Inébranlables : Développer son caractère grâce au sport ».

Animée par Gode Katembo, leader communautaire et mentor jeunesse, cette activité a rassemblé 24 participants, dont 22 jeunes et jeunes adultes et 2 parents.

Les échanges ont porté sur l’estime de soi, la confiance, le leadership, la résilience, la pression des pairs et le rôle du sport dans le développement personnel. À travers des discussions interactives et des témoignages inspirants, les participants ont acquis des outils concrets pour relever les défis de la vie et renforcer leur potentiel.
