Join us on Sunday, June 14th at the Cargo Bar in Assiniboine Park & Zoo for a fun-filled day supporting animals in need! Whether you're running, walking, bringing your dog, or coming solo, we'd love to have you join us.

🎽 Race kit pickup will take place on event day during check-in.

📅 Event Schedule:
• 9:30–10:30 AM – Check-in & Registration
• 10:45 AM–12:15 PM – 5K Walk/Run with your pet
• 12:15–1:15 PM – Refreshments at Cargo Bar (included with registration)
• 1:15–2:00 PM – Closing Remarks, Silent Auction, 50/50 Draw & Thank You's

**Cat whisperer needed for Mr. Stray**

Mr. Stray was likely born on the streets and was semi-feral when he showed up injured and was taken in by a good Samaritan who had been feeding him for some time. She has been lovingly rehabilitating him since November 2025. This handsome tuxedo has come a long way, but he’s still very shy and will need patience, time, and lots of Churu treats to build trust.

Once he feels safe, Mr. Stray is affectionate, playful, and wonderfully quirky. He loves pets, weaves through your legs, flops for rubs, and even does a little happy dance when he wants attention. He’s high-energy and needs daily play, plus a confident, rambunctious cat friend to wrestle and cuddle with. No dogs, and best in a quiet, calm, child-free home.

Adopters will meet him in his foster home so he can shine outside of a stressful shelter setting. If you’re patient and ready to help a shy boy continue to blossom, Mr. Stray is waiting.

Nyla is a lady with high standards, and is looking for a family who can match them 💁‍♀️ She will thrive in a calm environment where she can spend her days relaxing and loving on her favourite people. If you’re really lucky, she’ll even smother you with kisses! Nyla does have boundaries and will let you know when she’d prefer some “me time”, so respect for her space is a must when needed. This lovely little lady is sure to steal your heart! She’s a very well mannered and respectful girl, who does well with children, dogs, and constantly captures the attention of everyone she meets. She’s already housebroken and leash trained, and while she’s also kennel trained, she is perfectly fine being left alone in the home when her people are away or sleeping. Dixie may be small, but her presence is mighty - whether playing with her toys, running around through the grass, or snuggling up on the couch, she’s happiest by her people’s side 🥹 Come by to see if she could be right for you!
