On Red Dress Day, we stand with Indigenous families, survivors, and communities.

Red Dress Day started in Winnipeg, Manitoba as an art installation using red dresses to symbolize missing Indigenous women, and it grew into a nationwide day of awareness.

We remember those who are missing or murdered, and we commit to creating safer, more equitable spaces for Indigenous women, girls, and Two Spirit people.

OFE is hiring for two positions!

1) EAL Instructor (Manufacturing) & Settlement/Resource Coordinator - this is a unique hybrid role that supports newcomers and refugees preparing for employment in Manitoba’s manufacturing sector.

2) EAL Instructor (Foundational CLB 1–4) - Pre-Employment Language Training - this role involves the delivery of participant-centered, trauma-informed English language instruction to refugees and other newcomers who are building early English skills.

OFE is a non-profit organization with 50+ employees. We offer competitive salaries, joint employee-employer contribution on group benefits plans and pension plans. We are located in downtown Winnipeg, next to the Canada Life Centre and we are easily accessible by bus.

Atul had experience in the printing industry from his home country; however, he did not have any Canadian work experience when he came to OFE.

He completed the Self-Marketing Preparation workshop, which equipped him for an independent and successful job search. Through the workshop, he learned how to identify and articulate his skills, experience, and training, as well as apply various job search techniques to effectively market himself to local employers.

In addition, he participated in a mock interview with one of our staff members, where he received valuable practice and feedback in preparation for a real interview.

We are very excited that Atul is now working full-time as a Lead Hand at Future Transfer. 🎉🎉
