The walk is tomorrow we wanted to post some frequently asked questions:

1) Where is the walk?

The walk is at kildonan park, Winnipeg. This year we will be meeting in fox shelter picnic area

2) What time is the event?

Registration is between 930-10am, ceremoney starts at 10am
Arrive and sign in at the registration table.
If you have a babies name you want read during ceremony you can add to the list

3) How much does it cost?

This event is FREE. However, we ask for donations to help us pay for putting on the walk. Every donation received will get a ticket for the door prize draw.

4) Where do the donations go?

The donations go towards paying for the park rental and any other expenses we pay, supplies, advertisements, etc. The rest of the money will be used to support our local bereavement units at St. Boniface Hospital and Women's Hospital.

5) What about the weather?

The event will continue rain, shine or snow. Dress appropriately for the weather.

6) Who can come to the walk?

The walk is for anyone who'd like to attend. We invite families of babies gone too soon as well as friends, neighbours, and community members who'd like to support.

7) Can I bring my dog?

If your dog is good in crowds, you may bring them. They must remain on a leash. Please ensure to pick up after your dog.

8 ) I can't walk, can I still come?

YES!! The walk is just a small portion of the event. If you can't walk, you may remain at the starting point.

9) How can I help?

The WTR committee is always welcoming volunteers to help set up and take down before and after the walk. Donations of prizes, refreshments and supplies are always appreciated throughout the year. We also ask that you keep the shelter tidy by cleaning up your garbage and recycling.

10) I'm seeking support. Who can I talk to?

We strongly encourage everyone at the walk to reach out to each other. As our walk has grown over the years, we are not always able to connect with new people at our walks, but we do encourage you to feel free to come up to us. Please know we are here for you, and if you need someone to talk to, we are more than willing.

The Wave of Light is a worldwide remembrance held on October 15th for babies who have died during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly after.

At 7:00 PM local time, families around the world light a candle in memory of their babies, creating a beautiful wave of light across the world. 🕯️✨

At Angel Babies, we come together to remember, honor their lives, and remind families that their babies will never be forgotten. 🤍
