It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernesto Pinto on April 22, 2026.

Ernesto, who retired from his position at Square One in 2024, left an immeasurable impact on the Spanish-speaking world as both a speaker and broadcaster during his 30 years with our organization. His radio program Encuentro (Encounter) and television show 180 Grados (180 Degrees) were incredible instruments used to spread the message and life-changing power of the Gospel, being broadcasted on hundreds and hundreds of radio and television stations in Spanish-speaking countries around the world.

"We thank God for (Ernesto's) life and faithful service," Heriberto Ayala (current host/producer of Encuentro) said in a statement from our Spanish ministry. "Although he is not physically with us today, his legacy will live on throughout Latin America. We extend our deepest condolences to (his wife Marina) and the entire Pinto family. We pray for comfort and peace at this time."
