Had my favorite helper elf along today for shopping and finishing the remaining hampers. He insisted on wrapping the gifts by himself (he did let me give a bit of advice and hand him tape, LOL) and it was super cute. 😊

We aren't *quite* done for this year, as we still had a couple people on our waitlist that we plan on helping, even if we can't do the usual size hamper for them. It's looking like we'll be breaking our record once again, with a total of 30 households being served this holiday season! 💚

Huge thanks to all our incredible sponsors (we also broke that record, with 20 hampers being fully handled by sponsors 🤯), and to our wonderful donors, shoppers, and drivers. Please also help us give a shout out to Leopold’s Tavern Sage Creek, Oh Doughnuts, Thyme Cafe & Books, and Herbivore Haven market for letting us collect donations. Last but definitely not least, thank you to Stephanie ( a.k.a. Sweet as Sinnamon) for providing us with an assembly location this weekend.

Before and After! Organizing the donations is one of my favorite parts of the process. Makes my autistic brain very happy to sort things and line them up 😄.

One hamper was delivered today and the rest will be completed and sent out tomorrow. Mother Nature may have temporarily mucked with our plans, but thankfully she settled down so we could get back on track!

Well that was not how today was supposed to go! My kiddo's school closed again, so all the hamper errands I had planned for today went out the window. Trying to get three days worth of work done tomorrow is clearly not happening, but fortunately almost everyone's deliveries could be moved to Sunday instead.

Thank you to my amazing friend Cindy for filling in for me on shopping duty, and to Kylie and Jennifer for collecting the donation boxes and bringing them to the assembly spot. You all took such a weight off my shoulders!

We still need a couple drivers for Sunday afternoon to make sure all our families get their hampers. If you can help, please comment below or send a message!

The ❄️ is not our friend today, as this is the last day to drop off donations for our hampers. If roads are clear later and you're planning to donate, please check to make sure the business is open before you go. It is especially vital we get all the gifts for the kids, so if you aren't able to drop yours off today, please comment or send a message and we will figure out a new plan. Fingers crossed that Mother Nature will settle down and we can still get all our hampers delivered this Saturday 🤞 Stay safe everyone!

Tomorrow is the last day to drop off donations and we really need some last minute additions to our collection boxes please! Most of our hamper recipients found sponsors, but we are still trying to make 7 to 10 hampers with our donations. Unfortunately the amount of food donated so far is the lowest we've ever seen.

Gentle reminder as we head into our final week of collecting donations: our program is vegan! Yesterday there was a big box of cereal donated, but unfortunately it contains gelatin, so we cannot put it in a hamper. I will be bringing it to my kiddo's school for their holiday food drive though. Waste not, want not 💚

We need someone who will be at Herbivore Haven market tomorrow when it opens! Our volunteer who made donation collection boxes is no longer able to drop them off by 10am. She can bring the boxes to someone tonight, if that person can then bring them to the market in the morning. Please share this post! Thank you 💚

When this program started back in 2018, seven hampers went out. This year we're looking at providing at least twenty-five! A number like that simply wouldn't be possible without all the incredible people who have stepped up to sponsor hampers- doing all the shopping, assembly and delivery themselves. We are so grateful for this generous community!
