The 2026 Installation of Officers of the Supreme Temple, Daughters of the Nile, took place this evening. Our new Supreme Queen, Kathleen "Kathy" Rafter entered the room accompanied by the pipes and drums and her Noble David. Following her installation, we listened to a beautiful rendition of Caledonia. She shared her motto: Cherish the past and embrace the future. Congratulations to Supreme Queen Kathy Rafter and the 2026 Supreme Temple Officers installed tonight! We wish you all good health, patience, fun and harmony as you represent our Order for the next year.

Supreme Queen Kathy W finished off the last morning of Supreme Session by, in the end, postponing the last piece of legislation to be reconsidered next year. We heard from both the Canadian and American Foundations, who gave the same fabulous numbers of our donations last year (previously posted) in addition to recognizing some Temples for their high donations. Our total donations from Daughters of the Nile since we've started giving to the Shrine hospital system is now more than $80 million! We also heard reports from Membership who recognized several Temples for their excellence in newsletters and growth. The Hospital Request committee gave their report, which combined between countries, we gave more than 70,000 items worth more than $403,000 which took almost 55,000 volunteer hours. We will soon have a new website later this month. Public relations has been working on a rebrand of our logo. Stay tuned for info in the newsletter about future Supreme Sessions! Following several well deserved tributes to our outgoing Supreme Queen, all the Ladies of the Household enjoyed a lovely high tea lunch where we heard from Shriners Children's patient ambassador Merryn.

Today we *almost* got through all the legislation! One got referred back to jurisprudence so will be brought back to the table tomorrow but otherwise all legislation has been brought forward, discussed and voted upon. We had a quick Queen's party for Queen Vicki between business session and performances tonight. Congratulations to all the ladies who put work into performing for us all.

Here we go ladies.....it's time for legislation! Let's all consider the good of the order as we vote and let harmony prevail.

The train has pulled into the station for the final time tonight after putting through 48 ladies in the Canada EH Degree. It was slower than usual with not as many ladies but the ones who came were full of laughs! Thanks to every one of our ladies as well as Nobles Doug and Denis who helped put on the Degree tonight. You all helped us have fun and raise some money for the kids.

The Supreme Temple of Daughters of the Nile held their ritualistic opening this morning followed by the Memorial service. Our Temple was fortunate not to have any of our Past Queens recognized this year. We were saddened to pay tribute to all of the Past Queens who passed away in the last year. The business of the Supreme Temple got underway with some reports. This included the state of the organization and the Education in Action committee who spoke about embracing change. Our Temple joined all the other Canadian ladies at the Canada lunch. Elections of the 2026 Supreme Temple Elective Officers followed in the afternoon. Congratulations to the following officers-elect!
Supreme Queen-elect Kathleen "Kathy" Rafter (Zarah Temple No. 72 - Vancouver, BC)
Supreme Princess Royal-elect Donna Isbell (Dynasty Ammena Temple No. 164 - Nashville, TN)
Supreme Princess Tirzah-elect Heather Herridge (Oasis Temple No. 46 - Montreal, QC)
Supreme Princess Badoura-elect Lynn Haller (Hatasu Temple No. 1 - Seattle, WA)
Supreme Princess Recorder-elect Beverly Polley (Ankh Temple No. 160 - Bangor, ME)
Supreme Princess Banker-elect Kendall “Kendy” L. Cusick-Rindone (El Mejdel Temple No. 47 - Denver, CO)

Busy day yesterday! Who are we kidding....every day is busy when you're at Supreme Session lol! Opening ceremonies and banquet.....meeting up with new and old friends. Supreme Queen Kathy kicked off the week with a sparkling start. We were all so proud to see Queen Vicki walk in with all the reigning Queens, escorted by PQ Lindsey and JPQ Sharon while PQ Valerie carried the banner. We heard her announce Sphinx Temple loud and clear! PQs Lori and Marcy participated in the mass patrol. We were also very proud of PQ Laura, the elected Canadian Trustee, who made the presentation from the Canadian Foundation which gifted $477,000.00—our largest donation to date. And, over and above this amount, our ladies have donated an additional $60,792.49, representing 3,995 items to the Hospital Request Program. This brings our total gift for 2025 to $537,792.49 in addition to the 13,475 volunteer hours donated to hospital request projects. With this donation, we will see our 8th Million Dollar Plaque dedicated at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada. The US Foundation presented $2,300,000 which makes our grand total from Daughters of the Nile over the years to more than $80 million. Such an exciting time to be part of this organization!
