The research isn’t new, but it still raises the question: how do you stay a mom when you’re in prison?
It’s a question we work through with the women we support. We talk about parenting from a distance, keeping promises, setting boundaries, and staying connected with their kids.
Being in prison doesn’t mean a woman stops being a mother.
