What an incredible evening filled with delicious food, good friends and wonderful songs! Thank you to everyone who came out today for our Thanksgiving Entertainment and Dine-In meal. Our Chef and volunteers prepared such a delicious meal for us and the very talented Bob Fleury sang his heart out and got us up dancing too! We are so grateful to the many volunteers who helped make this meal the success it was. A special Happy Birthday to Rick & Steve! We appreciated 3 of the candidates running for City Councillor for Transcona who came by to help serve meals. Oh what a night!!

We’ve had to reschedule our Oct 14th Thanksgiving meal to Thurs, Oct 15th. The Oct 15th Thanksgiving meal will now be held at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1500 Day Street. Entertainment starts at 3:00 and dinner will be served at 4:00. We remain sold out for the meal! 🦃 As a result of this change, we have to cancel the Thurs Oct 15th lunch at 500 Widlake. Please see our revised menu. 😊

Transcona Legion is looking for volunteers.

Our Poppy Campaign starts on October 24th and we are looking for members of the community that would like to get involved by canvassing between November 1 and 10. The shifts will be at Costco and Save On Foods and are generally 2 or 2.5 hour blocks. What an incredible day! Our Annual Health Fair was another very successful event with over 300 people coming out. So many amazing booths and activities to see. A special thank you to Kildonan Place, Save-On Foods, Goodfellow Realty, and Bond Printing for their generous sponsorship. Thank you to our many wonderful volunteers for always coming through for our senior community. A heartfelt thank you to our organizing committee who knocked it out of the park … again - Eleanor Stelmack, Karen Janzen, Jan McKinnon and Colleen Tackaberry.

October 1st is National Seniors Day - a time to honour and celebrate the contributions, experiences and vitality of our senior community. Come out to our annual Health Fair on Oct 1st and visit the many booths and activities offering valuable information for our journey through aging!

As Wed., Sept 30th is a provincial holiday for National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, the following TCS programs will be affected:

- Yoga will be held at its normal time at Oxford Heights, but will be held outdoors weather permitting.
- There will be no meal program that day.

All other programs that operate out of Transcona Retired Citizens Org (328 Whittier West) will still be open.
