Three shows. Countless memories. One incredible journey. 🧭✨

It’s been a week of much-needed rest and recovery after an incredible THREE shows for our year-end recital, Pilgrimage: Following the Good Way! Looking back at these behind-the-scenes moments, our hearts are overflowing. 💖

We are immensely proud of our dancers, whose hard work, passion, and artistry shone through every single piece. And what moves us even more is the beautiful sense of community that comes alive backstage. Seeing the encouragement and excitement, the teamwork and dedication, and the shared joy—with perhaps a few bittersweet tears!—among our dance family shows exactly what our studio is all about.✨

We are so incredibly grateful for every single student, volunteer, and instructor who made this weekend what it was! We truly walk this path together! 🤍

It’s been a busy and beautiful spring at Genesis ✨

Now that Recital weekend has wrapped, we’re taking some time to look back and celebrate all the incredible moments that filled April and May — starting with our musical production: Anastasia 👑

Featuring 50 students from our Musical Theatre Program, this production showcased our MT Company students in lead roles while giving our newly created Musical Theatre Ensemble the opportunity to shine in ensemble roles throughout the show.

The experience of bringing a musical production to life is immersive, challenging, and deeply rewarding — and judging by the bittersweet tears after our final performance, this production meant so much to everyone involved ❤️

We are so grateful for every student, staff member, volunteer, and financial partner who helped make Anastasia such a beautiful success. 🫶🎉

While our regular season classes are almost over, dance opportunities never end!

10-10:45am - Smart Start: Music & Movement for Tots, ages 1-3 🎵
5-6pm - Pointe Prep ages 13+ 🩰
6-7pm - Adult Advanced Hip Hop ages 17+ 👟
7-8pm - Adult Advanced Modern ages 17+ 👣

Such a beautiful week participating in Manitoba dance festival! 💫
Congratulations to all our dancers on their beautiful performances, and a special shout out Rayna who received the Tap senior scholarship for her solo, and the Tap Level 4 group for receiving Adjudicators Choice! 🏅

Recapping Dance & Worship Night! ✝️✨

It was such a joy to celebrate Easter with our community!

Dancers and audience members young and old had a great time expressing worship through dance, in Dancing Scriptures class for kids, performances by our teams, and a corporate dance worship workshop!

He is risen indeed! 🎉 💐

Each Easter Monday, we invite our community to join us at Genesis to celebrate with dance! You can expect performances from our dancers as well as an opportunity for everyone to get up and dance together!

EVENT SCHEDULE

5:30pm - 6pm: Dancing Scriptures with Miss Naomi Wiebe (ages 4-8, no dance experience required)

6pm - 6:15pm: Live Performance (featuring Corps de Ballet, Jr Company, Sr Company, and OGs)

6:15pm - 7pm: Guided Dance Worship with Miss Kristie Enns-Strong (ages 9-adult, no dance experience required)

7pm - 7:30pm: Snacks and Fellowship Time
