Tuesday, September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. This is a day to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as the survivors, their families, and their communities.

Everyone is encouraged to wear orange, take time to reflect, and participate in a variety of events taking place downtown, including:

🧡 5th Annual Orange Shirt Day Healing Walk and Pow Wow
The Healing Walk begins at 11 a.m. at The Forks(Oodena Circle) and continues to the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg, Third Floor.

🧡 Manitoba Children's Museum – offering FREE general admission.
*Proudly supported by the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Host It Downtown event grant.

🧡 Canadian Museum for Human Rights
Free admission. Create a 4x4 felt square symbolizing your personal plan for reconciliation. Drop in 11 a.m.–1 p.m. or 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. (while supplies last).

Farewell to longtime volunteer Joel who is heading off on a European adventure!

Joel has been a fixture in our community attending groups in Wpg and at Stony, helping with weekly grocery shopping for Quixote House, sitting on tbe Board, and spending one on one time with many of our guys.

He will be remembered for always showing up for good food (especially sweets), his exceptional ability to pinch pennies, his calm, quirky presence, and so much more.

Thank you Joel for all that you have done for our Future Hope guys and organization! All the best on your next adventure!! You will be missed 🤗

The 2025 Future Hope Fall Market happening tomorrow on Saturday, September 13, 2025
11 AM – 4 PM at 690 Munroe Avenue

FREE Admission, Food and Snacks available, and 20 Unique Manitoba vendors with handmade crafts, art, and baking.

50/50 draw & HUGE prize baskets with proceeds going to Future Hope & the Next Step program, helping men rebuild their lives after incarceration.
