Angel Studios just made history at the box office. ❤

Their animated musical David opened with over $22 million, becoming the biggest faith-based animated opening ever, topping films like Prince of Egypt.

The movie tells the biblical story of David — from shepherd boy to giant-slayer to king — and stars Christian artists Phil Wickham and Lauren Daigle.

For Wickham, it was his first film, and he said it reshaped how he sees faith and fear.

“You can have fear and still trust a God who’s bigger than what you’re facing,” he said, “Do it afraid — trusting that God will give you what you need.”
