Another Sundance is in the books! And it was a special sundance this year - we finished our first round and graduated our first 4th year dancers.

The weather was beautiful ☀️ the dancers were beautiful 💕 the helpers were beautiful🫂 everything was beautiful.

We have so much gratitude to the Sundance Cheifs, the Kookums who stood beside the Cheif's, the Cheif Helpers, The healers, The Drummers, the Firekeepers, The Kitchen, the Garbage Team, The Medicines Teams, The Parking team, The Runners, The Volunteer Leads, the Volunteers and Helpers, the Sundancers and supporters and staff at 2SMB. This amazing ceremony wouldn't be able to happen without every single one of you!

Congratulations to all the 4th years who completed their 4-year commitment and kinanâskomitin to everyone who helped make this a beautiful ceremony.

We're looking forward to next year already. Happy New Years everyone! 🥳

Sundance Shuttle Info

2Spirit Manitoba is happy to provide shuttle services to this year's Sundance. Shuttle services will be available from August 20th to 23rd.

Please note that space is limited and pick-up/drop-off times are on a fixed schedule. To RSVP a spot, please call (431) 373 7976 or email Gillian at [email protected].

Morning Travel

Leaves Sundance grounds // 8:00 am
Arrives at Polo Park (Earl's parking lot) // 10:30 am
Leaves Polo Park // 10:45 am
Returns to Sundance grounds // 12:00 pm

Evening Travel

Leaves Sundance grounds // 3:00pm
Arrives at Polo Park (Earl's parking lot) // 4:30pm
Leaves Polo Park // 4:45pm
Returns to Sundance grounds // 6:00pm

Carpooling

Due to limited space with our shuttles, we will not be able to accommodate everyone with transportation this year :(

We encourage those coming to the Sundance to consider carpooling with other willing community members instead.

2Spirit Manitoba is looking for individuals to join our shuttle fleet for this year's Sundance. We want to provide transportation to as many people as possible from Winnipeg to the Sundance grounds.

If you are interested in being a shuttle driver, please submit a driver's abstract and a picture of your license.

TwoSpirit Manitoba is having one of the last land preps before our Sundance ceremony, on Thursday August 13, 2026
Come join us on the land for food, fun and community, we will have lunch/supper, water and gaterade (& zero).
We have a few more things to complete before and would appreciate your help.
Please don't forget weather permitting clothing, water, sunscreen, etc.
Meet up location for a ride is the parking lot of earls in front of Polo Park mall @ 9 am.

2Spirit Manitoba is having our craft night, sharing circle and drum group these two nights, please save it in your calendars.

July 29/26, 406 McGregor St, Metis Association. 5 to 8 pm
Aug 5/26, 286 Smith St, Unit 501, Please message or call when here, to get inside, 5 to 8 pm.
Snacks and drinks are provided. Also Ribbon, some patterns, thread, elastic, etc. to do crafts/gifts.

Bring friends or family to do some gifts or crafts for people or just make some for yourself. We are having the sharing circle, then some songs, all while doing crafts or just being here.

Come join us for some laughs, food, drinks and some good company.
