Last week Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak, the National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations wrote a column in the Winnipeg Free Press reflecting on the 10th anniversary of the release of the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada:

"We still believe in reconciliation. But belief alone is not enough. This 10th anniversary is a time to commit to action — real, timely, justice-driven action."

In our final post of this "We Stand for Justice" series, we look at the latest direct action facing community members: the passing of Bill 48 and the creation of the 72 hour detox centre.

Is it a prison?
Is it a human rights violation?

Is it following that path to the top of the mountain as shown to us by the TRC final report?
