It only happens once a year, and somehow every Manitoba Pet Expo gets better, and more memorable than the last. What an absolutely incredible day!
The 2026 Manitoba Pet Expo was a tremendous success, and we are so grateful to everyone who attended, exhibited, volunteered, sponsored, adopted, shopped, donated, and supported this amazing event. Once again, Manitoba's pet-loving community came together to celebrate the animals that bring so much joy to our lives.
Over the course of the day, we welcomed many attendees and their beloved pets. We saw dogs of every shape and size, cats, birds, reptiles, and many other animal companions enjoying the festivities alongside their families. It was wonderful to see attendees browsing vendor booths with their pets, trying on accessories, learning about pet services, supporting local businesses, meeting rescue organizations, and in some cases finding their newest family member.
One thing that certainly made this year's event memorable was the extreme heat. The temperature were challenging for everyone involved, and we want to thank all of our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, rescues, and volunteers for their patience and understanding throughout the day. We greatly appreciate everyone who helped ensure both people and pets stayed as comfortable, hydrated, and safe as possible during the day.
Before we thank anyone else, we need to recognize the incredible volunteers who made this event possible. From setting up tables and signage, assisting exhibitors and rescues, managing admissions, running the silent auction, answering questions, taking photos of all the cute animals, cleaning up, and helping wherever needed, our volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the entire weekend. Many of them spent long hours on their feet in the heat while still greeting everyone with a smile. The Manitoba Pet Expo simply would not happen without your dedication, hard work, and passion for animals. Thank you for giving your time to help make this year's event such a success.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our sponsors, both returning and new. Your generosity and support help make the Manitoba Pet Expo possible each year. Our sponsors help create an exciting experience for attendees through contests, giveaways, educational opportunities, demonstrations, and special promotions. Thank you for believing in our event and helping us continue to grow. A huge thank you goes out to all of our exhibitors who showcased their incredible products and services throughout the day. We were proud to feature such a diverse range of local businesses, including pet food and supply stores, trainers, groomers, photographers, daycare facilities, pet treat companies, artists, crafters, and many more. Your support of the Manitoba Pet Expo and the rescue community means so much to us.
To all of the rescue organizations that participated, thank you for everything you do for animals in need. We know how challenging rescue work can be, especially with increasing veterinary costs and the growing number of animals requiring care. We hope the Expo helped raise funds, awareness, and adoption opportunities for the animals you work so hard to help. We would love to hear your success stories and adoption updates in the coming weeks.
There are also several special shout outs we would like to do:
• Thank you to all of the businesses, organizations, and individuals who donated items for our silent auction. Your generosity helped create an amazing selection of prizes and contributed significantly to our fundraising efforts.
• Thank you to the food vendors and beverage providers who kept everyone fed, hydrated, and energized throughout the day, especially the ice cold lemonades that everyone was drinking!
• Thank you to our venue staff for their assistance before, during, and after the event. Your support behind the scenes helps ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Thank you to Carol for helping us with the volunteer t-shirt and giveaway bag design as well as printing the volunteer t-shirts.
As always, we received fantastic feedback and suggestions on ways to make the Expo even better. We will be reviewing all of your comments and ideas as we begin planning for next year's event.
After months of preparation and an unforgettable day, we're looking forward to taking a little time to rest, recharge, and reflect on what was another incredible Manitoba Pet Expo.
