🌱 Big news! Typha Co. has been featured in Greenhouse Canada! We’re honoured to be recognized for our work alongside Dr. Poonam Singh for repurposing cattails (Typha) into renewable growing substrate.

🌍 This Earth Day, let’s grow a healthier planet—starting from our gardens to our wetlands. 🌱

We’re proud to partner with Ron Paul Garden Centre for this spring’s Typha pre-order campaign!

Typha Garden Amendment is a regenerative soil product made from sustainably harvested and pasteurized cattails (Typha) from Manitoba. It’s a local, eco-friendly alternative that supports healthier soils, cleaner water, and restored wetlands.

🌿 Peer-reviewed and garden-tested—just ask Ray! His tomato trial speaks for itself.

🌱 Looking Back at Our First Indoor Ag-Con!

Just two weeks ago, we had an amazing experience connecting with growers, innovators, and industry leaders who share our passion for sustainable agriculture.

We’re still following up with all the great contacts we made and are excited about the potential collaborations ahead.

From potting mix suppliers, vertical farms to plant nurseries, we see huge opportunities to integrate peat-reduced growing media substrate in different growing systems across growers in Canada and the U.S.

Thank you to everyone stopping by our booth and .today for the invitation to the event — We can’t wait to keep the conversation going! 💡🌿

🌱 Meet the newest member of the Typha Co. team — Joey Delaquis! Joey holds a bachelor degree in Agronomy at UofM, and brings over 5 years of growing and research experience in indoor farms. As our grower technician, Joey has spent the past few months conducting trials with our Typha potting mix blends to evaluate plant performance and optimize our substrate composition.

Last year's lab analysis showed nutrient levels up to 20 times higher than cereal crops! 🌾 With 0.89% nitrogen, 0.08% phosphorus, 0.78% potassium, 1.12% calcium, and 0.21% magnesium, it's time to regenerate your soil with recycled nutrients for healthier, more vibrant plants. 🌱♻️

Dave, owner of Sage Garden Greenhouses, is leading the way with a breakthrough blend: 20% SeaSoil compost, 15% Typha, and 65% Pro-Mix (70% peat, 30% perlite). 🌱 Leading to much healthier plants, longer-lasting freshness, and a big step toward reducing peat reliance.

It’s time for other growers to join him in paving the path to more sustainable growing practices!

🌱💧 This , we celebrate the resilience of wetlands and peatlands as protectors of biodiversity, enhancing carbon sequestration, water filtration, and flood protection 🌎

Harvesting typha in wetlands is seen as a beneficial disturbance that improves biodiversity and wildlife habitat. 🌾🦆

Let’s protect and restore these vital ecosystems for future generations. 🌎
