Introduction to Bonsai with the Winnipeg Bonsai Society
Discover the timeless art of bonsai in this full-day workshop that blends history, technique, and hands-on learning. From its ancient roots in China and Japan to today’s thriving global community, bonsai offers mindfulness, creativity, and a fresh way to connect with nature.
Through inspiring lectures and live demonstrations, you'll explore bonsai styles, tools, seasonal care, and the lifestyle of keeping trees in miniature. Watch experts pot and shape trees, learn how to start your own with an easy-care Ginseng Ficus, and connect with members of the Bonsai Society of Winnipeg. Each participant will take a bonsai tree home.
Lunch will be provided.
