a look in the past: Hola Mahalla Winnipeg
in 2022, with only a handful of Sevadaars, the foundation stone for the future was laid. amidst last minute pushback from some committee members of this Gurdwara, the Sevadaars of Misl Winnipeg still rose to the bright occasion to deliver a beautiful first Hola Mahalla.
in 2023, as the Misl grew, so did the efforts, with a Kavi Darbar, and Hazoori Ragi of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Bhai Dharamvir Singh Ji Issewal also being present, the fiery winter storm was no match for the high spirits of the Khalsa.
in 2024, the city took notice, as Sikhs from all over the province flocked to the South Sikh Centre Gurdwara to witness Hola Mahalla. As the entire building was vibrating within Aarti Aarta to their fullest delight, it was certain that the revolution of the Khalsa had reached Winnipeg.
in 2025, the Misl moved the location of Hola Mahalla to the East of the city, to what many may see as where our roots were planted. Again, the Panth of Manitoba came from all corners to attend the Jorh Mela, to witness another historical event.
in 2026, Misl Winnipeg hosts their 5th Annual Hola Mahalla Jorh Mela, eminating from Gurdwara Singh Sabha Winnipeg, (Sturgeon Gurdwara,) in the hollowed walls of one of the oldest Winnipeg Gurdwaaray with rich history, Misl Winnipeg will look to bring the Panth again, under the Blue Nishaans of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. We can't wait to see you there!
