Lubov SSMI Foundation

Lubov SSMI Foundation Lubov means love. We're grateful for yours! Supporting the ministries of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate in Canada and Ukraine.

Lubov SSMI Foundation is a part of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, an international congregation of sisters for the Ukrainian Catholic Church. The community was founded over a hundred years ago in Western Ukraine. They strive to follow the example of their patroness Mary, the Immaculate Mother of God and are committed to a communal life of prayer and service to God's people, primarily but

not exclusively, those of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. The Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate are women who have responded to Christ's call to dedicate their entire beings and lives to God. Through a life of prayer and active service, they are dedicated to share their experience of God's compassion, forgiveness and unconditional love. They live in community, encouraging and supporting one another in their apostolic life journey. Daily they unite in prayer in response to the requests of many, trusting in the Lord’s words: "Ask, and it shall be given to you." Lubov SSMI Foundation is here to provide financial support for the needs of the ministries led by the Sisters. We help:
- Educate the young
- Provide spiritual comfort to those in need
- Nurture the lonely
- Care for the sick
- Provide comfort to the elderly

Olya, the youngest 💛

Today, we invite you to pause for a moment and read her simple, honest, and deeply heartfelt words.

“...every day feels meaningful and full of something new.

I’ve only been here for seven months, but already I’ve met so many different people and made connections I never imagined. Here, we learn how to understand one another, build relationships, and create real friendships.

To all the donors who support Home of Hope — THANK YOU. Thank you for your kindness, your care, and your generous hearts. Because of you, the Sisters can organize meaningful activities, trips, and opportunities for us to grow.

Because of you, we can learn, heal, receive psychological and spiritual support, and most importantly, feel safe.

When our time here comes to an end, we will carry warm memories and gratitude for everything you made possible.”
— Olya, 15

Your support changes lives in ways words can barely express. Thank you for being part of their story. 🤍

If you would like to support Olya and other girls at Home of Hope, your kindness can help provide a safe home, healing, education, and hope for the future. Every gift makes a difference.

“Most importantly, I learned to live in harmony with myself and with God. I learned to value and love myself. I realized that I am also worthy of love, and that I am truly loved.”

Marichka has been living at Home of Hope in Ukraine for four years. What she found there was more than shelter — she found safety, healing, friendship, and a place where she could begin rebuilding her life.

“There is a very warm, friendly, and loving atmosphere here,” she shares. “It is here that I met my best friends and many wonderful girls.”

With the support of the Sisters and donors, Marichka was able to attend psychotherapy, receive emotional support, and slowly put her life back on track. Today, Home of Hope continues to provide girls with meals, counselling, art therapy, workshops, celebrations, and the simple but powerful feeling of being cared for.

“Our life is full — filled with prayer, events, and love — it’s our own, completely different and full of light world.”

And Marichka wants donors to know just how much that support means:
“Because of you, when we leave after our time here, we will carry good memories and warmth from these moments that you made possible.”

❤️ Today, we are asking you to continue standing with girls like Maria.
Your donation helps provide:
• safe housing
• counselling and psychological support
• food and essential supplies
• warmth during ongoing attacks and power outages
• stability, care, and hope for the future

Every gift helps Home of Hope remain a safe place for girls who need refuge, healing, and love.

Please consider making a donation today.

Even in uncertainty, the girls at Home of Hope support one another. They wake each other when it’s time to go to the bomb shelter, and they laugh together during outings and activities. They create moments of normal life, even when life is anything but normal.

Because of your generosity, they have more than food and warmth. They have access to medical care, psychological support, art therapy, and safe, special experiences that help them heal. You’re giving them something deeply meaningful — not just hope for the future, but a sense of normalcy today.

Thanks to your support, a second Home of Hope has opened in Chernivtsi, welcoming nine more girls. But with two homes, both must be ready for days without electricity, heat, or even water.

Today, we’re asking you to continue standing with them.
A gift today helps keep both homes safe, warm, and ready for the girls who need refuge, care, and stability.

You know that feeling of -20 outside, with the wind cutting through everything? You probably do if you've ever been to Manitoba.

Now imagine that same cold… but with no heat in your home and no certainty about when help will come.

This past winter in Ukraine, that was the reality for so many families. Ongoing attacks meant entire neighbourhoods suddenly lost electricity, heat, and even water.

But in one home in Lviv, 23 girls experienced something different.
Because of donor support, their home stayed warm. There was heat, there was food, and there were people around them who truly cared.

It didn’t take away the fear completely. Nothing really can in that situation. But it gave them something incredibly important in the middle of it all, a sense that they were not alone and not forgotten.
