Thank you to everyone who joined us for our sold-out May Solidarity Music Night a few weeks ago! 🎶❤️

We were lucky to have Dominique Durner , the son of one of our previous community leaders, George Durner , perform for us, and it was wonderful to see many of our L’Arche long-timers attend as well, making it a beautiful reunion for our community.

A big thank you to Dominique Durner, who sang for us, and to Parke Beesley for accompanying on guitar.

Thanks to your generosity we raised an amazing $1,100 in support of L’Arche communities in Honduras. ❤️

These funds will help support important initiatives, including assisting the community in Tegucigalpa as they work to relocate to a safer area of the city with lower crime rates and improved access to essential services such as reliable water supply and medical care.

With deep sorrow, yet gratitude to God, we ask the L’Arche Winnipeg community to pray for the eternal repose of Mrs. Tova Vickar, beloved wife of Mr. Larry Vickar.

Larry and Tova have been faithful and dedicated supporters of our community. They were instrumental in helping establish the Tova Café on 119 Regent Avenue, a social enterprise that supports the employment of people living with disabilities. Through their generosity, compassion, and love, they touched countless lives over the years. Their presence and support at events such as Solidarity Music Nights and the Annual Walk with L’Arche have meant so much to us.

As we mourn Tova’s passing, we also give thanks to the Lord for the beautiful witness of service, kindness, and faith that she shared so generously with all. Her legacy will continue to inspire our community.

Please keep Larry and the entire Vickar family in your prayers during this difficult time.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on May 3rd for our 22nd Annual Walk with L’Arche! We welcomed more than 390 people who came together to walk, celebrate, and build community , with so many familiar and new faces!

A special thanks as well to our sponsors, media sponsors, event partners, our wonderful venue, Park City West Community Centre, who helped us make this event possible 💙

So far, we have raised just over $56,000 in support of funding our homes and programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our community , and we’re so close to reaching our goal of $60,000!

You can help us reach our goal by donating and collecting pledges until May 31st!
