📣 Super Clinic coming to North Point Douglas!

On Wednesday, October 14, NPDWC will be partnering with SEED Winnipeg to host a Super Clinic at the North Point Douglas Women’s Centre, bringing several services together in one place. Our drop in services will be closed for the day.

Community members can drop in for support with:

🪪 Getting IDs
📝 Filing income taxes
🏦 Opening a bank account
🇨🇦 Navigating Service Canada, including help with accounts or other challenges accessing services
✔️ Financial information and support

📍 North Point Douglas Women’s Centre – 221 Austin Street North

Representatives from SEED Winnipeg, Assiniboine Credit Union, Service Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, and Community Financial will be onsite.

Wow, what a week! We surprised the community with a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner and ended the week taking 30 community members to the Winnipeg Jets game. I did not get a chance to take many pictures but managed to snap a few.

REGISTER FOR SCO'S MEN’S HEALTHY MANHOOD WORKSHOP: AGES 18 TO 25

The Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) is inviting young First Nations men (ages 18 to 25) to take part in a five-day Men’s Healthy Manhood Workshop called "Mino-bimaadiziwin: Live a Good Life."

This workshop creates space for young men to come together, learn, reflect, and grow.

Participants will explore the "Man Box" theory, discuss healthy approaches to manhood, and learn how to navigate tough conversations with other men.

The workshop will run for three hours each day. It will include opportunities for connection, learning, and celebrating personal growth.

📅 Dates: October 12–16, 2026
⏰ Time: 1–4 pm
📍 Location: 1572 Dublin Ave, Winnipeg, Treaty One Territory

Space is limited to six people.

All attendees can receive bus tickets along with a $25 gift card each day.

This workshop is free to attend, but registration is required.

Our Good Food Box is available for pickup on Tuesdays, every two weeks. The deadline to register is the Friday before each GFB pick up. To register, you must be a North End resident and pay in cash at our main office (509 Selkirk Avenue)
