Mission of CABD: To relieve poverty and improve living conditions for peoples in Bangladesh. Objective:

Sponsor and engage with projects focusing on:
•Providing basic education for adults and children in literacy, math, health and hygiene and other life skills
•Providing education and training healthcare professionals, teachers engineers and other professions to allow them to better perform in their fields.
•Provide schools and similar institutions with medical equipment and computers and other related equipment in
•Provide technical assistance and advice to hospitals, schools, and similar institutions.
•Establish collaboration with other organizations/institutions and participate in charitable activities in line with the objectives of the Corporation. Our amazing team of directors are committed to helping others. Current Board of Directors are:

🌺 শুভ নববর্ষ ১৪৩৩
The spirit of নববর্ষ উৎসব (celebration of Bangla New Year) came alive at পল্লী উন্নয়ন মহিলা সংস্হা (PUMS) in Nandail, Mymensingh, where joy, culture, and community beautifully came together. Organized by the Rupantor School committee, this vibrant celebration was held within the PUMS complex—currently home to Rupantor School, a unique learning space for underprivileged children.
With generous support from the Canadian Association for Bangladesh Development (CABD), this year’s Noboborsho event created a memorable experience for students, teachers, and the local community. The day was filled with cultural performances, colorful decorations, and heartfelt participation from children who expressed their creativity and confidence.
Rupantor School continues to go beyond traditional education by integrating agriculture, environment, and life skills into its curriculum. Events like this not only celebrate heritage but also strengthen community bonds and inspire young minds.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and enthusiasm to make this event so meaningful. Together, we are building a nurturing environment where education, culture, and compassion grow hand in hand.

Female goats (does/nannies) were provided as livelihood support to families of underprivileged primary-level students. Hasina, a PUMS (Polli Unnayan Mohila Sangstha) member, who received a goat for her daughter, along with a home-renovation grant from CABD through the Doctor Mujibur Rahman Memorial Scholarship program. The goat has already given birth to a baby, bringing immense joy and hope to the family. So far, more than twenty families have received goat scholarships, and the beneficiaries are extremely happy and grateful for this support.

✨ A heartfelt THANK YOU to Metador Ballpen Industries for their generous donation of pens, pencils, and sharpeners for our school children! ✨

Since 2021, Metador has stood beside us, providing these essential supplies year after year to support children’s education. This initiative is funded by CABD and coordinated by Rupantor Shamajik Unnayan Sangstha (RSUS), who are also manufacturing and distributing writing books alongside these materials—helping children write, learn, and grow with confidence. 📚✏️

This distribution is part of our Health and Environment Awareness Program, where seminars are also presented for children and their parents to build knowledge, responsibility, and self-reliance. 🌱👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

কিশোরগন্জ উপজেলার পাকুন্দিয়াতে মহিউদ্দিন আহমেদ সমাজ উন্নয়ন সংস্থা এবং CABD এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে পশুপালন প্রকল্প শুরু হল। এই প্রকল্পের প্রথম পর্যায়ে পাঁচটি সুবিধাবন্চিত পরিবারকে ছাগল বিতরন করা হয়। সার্বিক তত্বাবধানে ছিলেন রূপান্তর ট্রেনিং সেন্টার পরিচালক জনাব আবুল কালাম মিয়াজী এবং নান্দাইল পল্লী উন্নয়ন মহিলা সংস্হার সাধারন সম্পাদক আমেনা ইয়াসমিন হিমা।

We recently hosted a highly successful event, honoring the legacy of Dr. Shariff and celebrating the numerous achievements of the CABD organization. The event was graced by esteemed guests, with a special mention to Dr. Shariff’s family members, whose presence made the occasion truly unforgettable.
🌿A highlight of the evening was a remarkable gift from Dr. C. Emdad Haque: a documentary titled “Dr. Farid Sharif: A Person Larger than Life,” which beautifully showcased Dr. Shariff’s contributions against the backdrop of his birthplace. This documentary added immense value to the event.
🌿From the bottom of our hearts, we extend special acknowledgment to every one of our donors for their outstanding generosity. This support is tremendously valuable and will greatly aid our cause. Thank you for being an integral part of our mission.
🌿We also extend our gratitude to our event sponsors: The University of Manitoba, Curry King restaurant, and Clay Oven restaurants.
🌿Our dedicated volunteers — Neeta, Aakash, Preeti, Waffee, Angelo, Nuwan, Thakshila, Dilki, Suprova, and Maryam — played a pivotal role throughout the event, assisting with admission, food, and play areas.
🌿The latter part of the event featured a captivating cultural show with talented performers from our Bangladeshi community, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The event concluded with an exciting raffle draw, providing a fun-filled element for everyone present.

CABD extends heartfelt thanks to its extended family, the Bangladeshi community, for their invaluable contributions in making this event a resounding success.🙏
