A huge thank you to everyone that came out to support the tree planting yesterday!!

The weather was beautiful and we planted 127 trees, taking care of all the trees the City brought to the event. The trees were provided by the Canadian Government Two Billion Tree program and The City of Winnipeg.

A special thank you to Re-Elect Andrew Smith for Lagimodiere and Re-elect Audrey Gordon for MLA in Southdale for attending the event and Nik Rave Photography for taking photos (will be posted soon).

Great News!!

Through the efforts of the City of Winnipeg Public Works Department and the Government of Canada 2 Billion Tree Program we are able to have another tree planting event!

On Sat Sep 9, 2023 1-5pm we will be planting another one hundred plus trees in Orchard Hill Park in Royalwood and providing the trees with wildlife protection.

This event is open to anyone regardless of their neighborhood of residence. The beautiful natural features in Royalwood attracts visitors from many areas and all are welcome to help add to the nature of the community. Please bring shovels and gloves if you can, some will be available for use if you forget yours. Please remember your water and sunscreen!

So we had a fantastic day of tree planting with over 200 trees being planted!! A huge thank you to everyone who came out and gave of their time and energy. We have some additional trees that will be cared for by the City over the winter so see you again in the spring for the next Royalwood Tree Planting!!

Charitable receipts should be issued within the next few weeks for those who donated funds to make the tree planting happen. Thank you!!
