Please welcome Ross to the ECCOE team! 👋
My name is Ross, and I’m excited to be joining ECCOE as your new Interpreting Services Coordinator this September!
I bring several years of scheduling experience from three different organizations, most recently with another interpreting agency, where I coordinated interpreter assignments and worked to ensure as many requests as possible could be filled. I enjoy the challenge of finding solutions and helping things run smoothly for both staff and clients.
I’m especially excited about the opportunity to work with and support the local Deaf community through ECCOE. In my previous career, I had the opportunity to support the Deaf community throughout the United States and Canada. I’m looking forward to bringing that experience home and working closely with our local community and interpreters.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about curling. I’ve been curling competitively since I was nine years old and am dedicated to growing the sport within the Deaf community. I’ve had the honour of competing in two World Deaf Curling Championships.
On a personal note, I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, who is also an interpreter, for 23 years. We’ve been fortunate to have spent many of those years connected to and involved in the Deaf community. I’m also a proud dad of two daughters, one is in university, and the other will be graduating from high school this year. It’s amazing how quickly they’ve grown up!
