What are service providers seeing in their work with South Asian clients—and what barriers still need to change?

Meet the panelists joining PCHS Manitoba for Taking the Pulse: A Conversation on the Mental Health and Well-Being of the South Asian Community in Manitoba.

Bringing perspectives from health care, social services, justice and community organizations, our panelists will explore current trends in service delivery and the challenges South Asian clients and families are experiencing.

Together, we’ll discuss how cultural expectations, stigma and systemic barriers affect access to support, where services are falling short, and how stronger collaboration can help make care more accessible and culturally responsive.

Participants required for research study as part of a Doctoral program at Memorial University of Newfoundland, supervised by Dr. Martin Day. The study explores the beliefs, opinions and experiences of South Asians living in Canada. Although the study focuses on the experiences of South Asian individuals, any adults living in Canada are welcome to participate.

Study Details:
A short online survey (approximately 15-20 minutes) that includes questions about your opinions and experiences, as well as a voluntary request for background information (e.g., age and gender).

Participants can enter a draw to win one of two $75 Amazon gift cards as a token of appreciation (this is optional).
