This holiday season, every ornament set tells a story of hope and transformation. 🎄🌟

Through Linden Place’s Learning With Purpose program, our residents in supportive housing have embarked on a hands-on initiative designed to help them build independence, develop life skills, and learn the value of budgeting. But it’s about more than skills. It’s about dignity, creativity, and the joy of giving back to the community that has supported them.

Through this project, residents have created beautiful ornament sets featuring origami stars, and clear ornaments presented in a beautiful Christmas themed tin. This project allows our residents to share their progress and purpose with you. When you purchase a set, you’re not just buying decorations—you’re supporting Eden Foundation and the services that have helped these individuals change their lives.

Each set is available in vibrant colors—orange, purple, blue, yellow, red, and green, for $30. We can accept cash or card with all proceeds going toward Eden Foundation and the Learning With Purpose project to support current and future residents.

📍The ornament sets can be purchased at our office on 309 Main Street. We can take cash or card.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, on September 30, we join the nation in honouring the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities forever affected.

At Eden Healthcare Services, we are deeply moved to share the beautiful, meaningful work of our resident, Brandon Black, who created a collection of pins in solidarity with this day. Over the past month, staff and residents have been wearing these pins to help raise awareness, show respect, and commit themselves to reconciliation.

We wear Brandon’s pins to remind us that reconciliation is an ongoing journey. May we continue to learn, reflect, and act toward healing and understanding not just today, but every day.

🎀 A Major Milestone for Our Community!

This week, we officially cut the ribbon on Central Commons Housing, a 28-unit affordable housing development that will provide safe, stable homes for individuals and families in need right here in Winkler.

Affordable housing is more than just a building, it’s about creating dignity, hope, and opportunity. This project represents years of planning, fundraising, and collaboration, and on Wednesday we celebrated what can happen when a community comes together.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible partners who made this possible:

✅ for leading the vision and advocacy

✅ for partnering with Eden Health Care Services to provide essential tenant supports

✅ (Housing and Healthcare departments) for helping close the funding gap

✅ Local leaders, donors, and volunteers who believed in this project from day one

This milestone is more than a ribbon-cutting, it’s a promise. A promise that our community values compassion and opportunity for all. By working together, we’ve created a foundation for stability, growth, and belonging for those who need it most. Let’s keep moving forward, ensuring that no one is left behind and that everyone has a place to call home.
