We often get asked why we do so many food service and fundraising events, when at the end of the day there isn't a huge financial gain? First of all, we LOVE connecting with people and building relationships with them Reconnecting with those we have known for a while as well those whom we have never met before. Second, we love sharing with others the love and hope we have for all the young people
in our community. If you ever have some time to kill, ask a Bunker staff about the youth in Winkler! Finally, even though each event on its own doesn't bring a huge financial windfall, when you do 30-40 events, those few hundreds multiply. The reality is, we NEED these events. Over the years our support from other sources has not kept up with the cost of operating, and these fundraisers that we do are crucial to our remaining operational and functional in Winkler.
