Sacred Heart Catholic Women's League entered a team of 6 ladies into the Coldest Night of the Year Walk in Wingham on Saturday, Feb. 28. The enthusiastic walkers raised $2740 for the Northern Huron Connection Centre. They had a lot of fun doing this walk!!

Wingham - what an incredible afternoon! Another Coldest Night of the Year walk is in the books - with over 90 people attending, and Mother Nature cooperating, over $27,000 has been raised to date (including monies raised at the door) for the Northern Huron Connection Centre - the walk may be over, but our work continues - the donation portal is open until March 21, 2026 - https://cnoy.org/location/wingham

Thanks to all the walkers, donors, volunteers, our sponsors, our meal providers, our emcee Julie B from 101.7 The One, our host the Maitland River Community Church - the community spirit was high and the support was amazing. ❤️

Yesterday the Maitland River Elementary School held their Coldest Night of the Year walk. Thanks so much to Principal Lorrie Goos and the student leadership team for organizing and running the walk - their support and commitment to the commuinty is truly appreciated! ❤️

Today is the day - and our favourite day of the year. We walk today in support of those experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our local communities. Funds raised at our Wingham walk will support the Northern Huron Connection Centre. 🚶‍♀️🚶

Sometimes small things can add up to bigger things. Like when a lot of people come together to help a few.

Thats what Coldest Night of the Year is, a little walk for a big problem. A crowd of people stepping out into the cold to raise money for the Connection Centre who serves the hungry, homeless and hurting in our communtiy! Join us!
