BIA Volunteers were up early Friday morning to install flower baskets at businesses on Josephine Street. Flower baskets were also taken to Associate BIA businesses just outside of town. Thanks to all the volunteers!

Also, thank you to all the businesses who placed orders and to Derrick & Michelle Greydanus, owners of Greyhaven Gardens, for growing and delivering the beautiful flower baskets.

Businesses - Please be sure to water your flower baskets daily and especially ahead of the weekend!

We continue to work to make Josephine Street the best looking main street in Huron County!

Earth Day Community Cleanup
Thank you to the 20 volunteers that came out on Wednesday, April 22nd for the Earth Day Community Cleanup, and to the Grade 7 & 8 classes that cleaned the streets around the Madill school.

Volunteers registered at the train station at 8:30 am, were equipped with plastic garbage & recycling bags and gloves, assigned the streets they were to cover, and then headed out in teams of 2-3 each.

The volunteers covered every street in Wingham, plus the community trail, Riverside Park, and a few other areas where garbage is known to collect.

The teams were back at the train station between 10 and 10:30 am where they enjoyed coffee, tea, and good conversations. The CAO, Nelson Santos, dropped in and thanked the volunteers for cleaning up the town.

Thank you to the Wingham Youth Centre for allowing us to use the train station for the morning.

Thank you to all the volunteers - our streets and trails look great because of your efforts!
