teens4change

teens4change We are a group dedicated to improving the road safety of our community and provide a safer life for those who live in it through education and awareness.

Since the death of our friend Josie Evans in 2010, we have been doing road safety presentations at the elementary schools, and holding events in our community to educate people on proper road safety. Through our fun, interactive and educational presentations we teach kids how to be aware of their surroundings, be safe, viable and reflective, and the everyday rules of the road. With the help of the

signatures of over 30% of Lake Country, we were an influential role in the installation of the sidewalks and streetlights on lodge road, and the school zone at George Elliot. We are continuing to find new ways to educate and keep people safe.

Better late than never, but we are very proud to have been an influential part of the sidewalks and streetlights on lodge road, and the school zone at George Elliot. We couldn't have done it without the 3300 signatures we received almost 4 years ago from everyone. That being said, after a long hiatus due to busy schedules and many of us taking different paths in life, we are happy to be working on new ways to keep our community safe and educated. Stay tuned!

Lake Country Mayor candidate Jayson McCarthy has posted signs around Lake Country with slogans such as "Choose a safer Lake Country for pedestrians." Another states "Choose sidewalks on Lodge Road", which is a big thing Teens4Change has wanted for a while. To research his platform more, visit www.jaysonmccarthy.com or visit his page. Vote wisely, those of you who can.

Choose your future. Choose action. Choose Jayson McCarthy for Mayor

Our last presentation of the season went well. Next year/season will be a whole new chapter for us. We will be teens4changing! (See what I did there?) We will be moving on to High School level presentations as apposed to Elementary. We may do a few Elementary ones here and there, but our main focus is going to be the older kids. Thanks to everyone who supported us this season! :)
