A little trip down memory lane! 🕰️

For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we’re rewinding to a special moment in WRYM’s history: the opening of The Windsor Residence for Young Men, as featured by the Windsor Star.

This video, published in 2012, offers a glimpse into the early days of a program that has continued to support young men experiencing homelessness in Windsor-Essex.

From the first residents who walked through our doors to the young men we support today, we're proud of the journey WRYM has taken and grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible.

Fourteen years of changing lives. Countless stories worth remembering. 💭

This September, as The Windsor Residence for Young Men celebrates 14 years of serving youth in Windsor-Essex, we're looking back at the moments, milestones, and people who have shaped our journey.

Join us every throughout the month as we share photos, memories, and stories from WRYM's history, celebrating how far we've come and the incredible community that has supported us along the way.

Every chapter has helped build the foundation for the next, and we couldn't have done it without our residents, staff, volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters.

Thank you for being part of our story. Here's to celebrating the past while continuing to build brighter futures together. 🎉

Brotherhood is more than a game. 🥏

Last month's Brotherhood Night took us off-site for an evening of disc golf, fresh air, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs!

Hosted by our Community Program Lead, Ashton Baker, Brotherhood Night is a monthly tradition where past residents return to connect with current residents through fun activities and shared experiences. It's a chance to catch up, build new friendships, strengthen old ones, and remind one another that once you're part of the WRYM community, you'll always have a place here.

Sometimes the best conversations happen between throws. Sometimes the biggest victories aren't on the scorecard.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another fantastic Brotherhood Night. We can't wait for the next one! 🩵

🎬🍿 Movie nights are better together!

The entire house came together for a long-awaited movie night featuring Project Hail Mary, complete with popcorn, cookies, Twizzlers, soda, and iced tea.

Sometimes the best memories are the simplest ones: sharing laughs, enjoying a great story, and spending time together. These evenings help build friendships, strengthen our sense of community, and remind our young men that they belong.

As one of our favourite lines from the film reminds us:

"You sleep. I watch." 👀

A simple reminder that no one has to face life's challenges alone.
