Our friends in Ms Fink's Class at Central Public School ended the school year with a Mac and Cheese drive for Kids First Food Bank! These amazing kids, with the support of their teachers, went above and beyond with posters, morning announcements and walked the school to collect donations. Our staff got to visit the kids at pick up and their excitement was the best part of it all! We cannot thank Ms Fink enough for thinking of us again this year and teaching these children such an incredible life lesson of giving back to the community!

Last Friday we hosted an event to acknowledge some amazing people.

We welcomed a representative from Lisa Gretzky's office as well as the Ontario Trillium Foundation to recognize the impact of their funded support to renovate our bathrooms and doors- ensuring our organization remains as accessible as possible and safe/secure.

We celebrated our colleague, Sonny's, 20th year at WFHCP.

We awarded Rosemary, a selfless member of our Board of Directors and Ken, a dedicated food bank volunteer, with Volunteer of the year and Sue Walker Memorial Award.

We welcomed Jackie, another dedicated part of the Kids First Food Bank team, to share her story and insight on our organization.

We appreciate any opportunity that we get to celebrate our team, our incredible volunteers, our community partners and those who fund/support our initiatives.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and celebrate with us.

"I CAN" Summer Camp is back for it's 5th year! We cannot wait to open our doors to the amazing kids in our community and make a summer full of memories!

Last week, we hosted a Nourish & Nurture cooking class in Kids First Kitchen. With the help of our Head Chef, Marcia Pivotte, we learned to cook Curry Chicken and Fried Plantain.
The company, conversations, and laughs made it such an enjoyable time and the delicious meal we shared was the cherry on top!
A big thank you to Marcia for leading the class and thank you to all the women who came, threw on their apron and got to work!
