The Optimist Club of South Windsor is excited to announce our partnership with Illusions Winter Guard as they begin building a brand-new youth-focused community program right here in Windsor-Essex! 🎭✨

Helping community youth achieve their dreams is exactly what Optimists live for, and we are proud to support this incredible new not-for-profit organization as they get started.

Illusions Winter Guard will provide opportunities for young people ages 10-24 to grow in confidence, creativity, teamwork, leadership, and performance through dance and colour guard.

They are currently looking for passionate individuals to help build their inaugural Executive Team, including:
• Choreographer – Flags, Rifles & Sabres
• Choreographer – Dance & Movement
• Guard Captain
• Assistant Guard Captain

After an incredible turnout and a very competitive evaluation process, we’re excited to announce this year’s rosters. Thank you to all of the players and families who came out and showed their passion, effort, and love for the game.

NOTICE TO ALL WCLL FAMILIES:

All TBall and Major Baseball games are CANCELLED tonight (May 18), due to weather.

Your coaches will be in contact regarding rescheduling games in the near future.

Due to flooded diamonds, we will be cancelling today’s All-Star tryouts.

We will resume our tryouts as scheduled next weekend.

Thank you for understanding and we’ll hopefully see everyone out at tomorrow’s Little League Day at Comerica Park!

Reminder for all families who purchased tickets to Little League Day at Comerica Park ⚾️

The big game is this coming Sunday!

Parade details:
• Check-in begins at 11:30 AM inside the ballpark behind Section 151
• Players MUST be checked in by 12:30 PM to participate in the parade

Entry instructions:
• Families should enter through the Gallagher Gate (Gate C)
• Windsor Central players are asked to meet outside the gate on Adams Street at 11:30 AM so we can head in together

Important:
• Players must wear their team jersey to join the parade

After the parade:
• Families are encouraged to watch from the stands
• Please meet your players on the concourse behind Section 140

Just a reminder that All-Star tryouts are happening this weekend!

We’re excited to see all the players out on the field competing and having fun. Please make sure your player attends at least two tryout sessions to be considered, and arrive a little early to check in and get warmed up.

Opening Day is in the books for Windsor Central Little League! ⚾️

It may have been a little on the chilly side, but that didn’t stop the smiles, the excitement, and the incredible energy around the park. From the parade to first pitches, it was amazing to see our players, families, and volunteers come together to kick off another great season.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special - coaches, parents, volunteers, and supporters. Days like today are what Little League is all about.

Here’s to a fun, memorable season ahead! 🧢💙
