Classics are a go, bring your raincoat as we are expecting some light rain ☔️

Games are CANCELLED and will be moved to an alternate date. We wanted to make it a go but the pen is still a bit too wet to safely use.

📣 Attention riders! Important Update 📣

The classics pen is looking perfect for a day of showing tomorrow as long as the rain in the forecast holds off!

Gamers: the pen still needs a bit of work, we’ll have a grounds crew on site early tomorrow morning and we’ll make the official call by 9:00-9:15 if we’ll be cancelling games & using an alternate date.

If the pen is good to go, we’ll be pushing back start time to 11:30 and push back entries for the gaming pen to be 10:45 to allow people the time to get out to the grounds. Keep an eye on our socials for the update!

⏰ Important Day-Of Information:

🚪 Gates Open: 8:00 a.m.

Last-minute entries are welcome on show day but will be subject to a $10 late fee.

☀️ We're expecting warm weather, so please remember to bring plenty of water for both yourself and your horse.

🍦 Sweet Cones will be on-site throughout the day with food and refreshments available for purchase.

🐎 The gaming pen will be open all day for warm-ups. Please be respectful of other riders, share the space, and follow proper arena etiquette to ensure everyone has a safe and positive experience.

📖 If this is your first time showing with SOTC, please take a few moments to review our Rule Book and familiarize yourself with our grounds rules, safety policies, and expectations. The Rule Book can be found on our website.

📸 HM Photography will be on-site as our official show photographer, capturing all the action throughout the day.

🐴✨ GET TO KNOW YOUR JUDGE — JUNE 7 ENGLISH SERIES ✨🐴

With a big turnout expected this Sunday, we’re excited to introduce the judge for our inaugural SOTC English Series show, and extend a huge thank you for generously sharing her time, experience, and expertise with our riders.

We are very grateful to welcome Kate Lloyd to the judge’s booth this weekend.

Kate brings a deep and well-rounded background in the equestrian world, having competed across multiple disciplines at high levels, including:

• Eventing up to Intermediate (National) and CCI** (International)
• 1.20m Show Jumping
• 3’3” Hunter divisions
• Third Level Dressage at rated competitions

She has competed on a wide variety of horses and brings a practical, horse-first perspective to everything she does in the sport.

Kate has also taken part in the Thoroughbred Makeover with both her own horses and client horses, holds her full A Level Pony Club certification, and continues to expand her horsemanship across disciplines. (Including recreational team sorting, which she’ll tell you she was “terrible at,” but we appreciate the effort anyway 😉)

Most importantly, we’re incredibly thankful for people like Kate who give back to the sport by sharing their knowledge, experience, and passion with the next generation of riders. Our shows simply wouldn’t be possible without individuals who step up and support the community in this way.

🏆 Horse Power Car Show – Winner Announcement!

What an incredible day! We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the Horse Power Car Show. From the amazing vehicles on display to the spectators, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers, you all helped make this event a great success.

Congratulations to all of our award winners! Your hard work, dedication, and passion for your vehicles truly stood out. We were honored to have so many outstanding entries and the competition was tough.

Our bingo volunteers help generate important funds that support the Southern Ontario Trail Riders Club, our grounds, and the events we offer throughout the season.
