WECEN - Windsor Essex Counter Exploitation Network W.E.C.E.N provides direct services to survivors of domestic and international exploitation.

This includes labour exploitation, s*x trafficking, and forced marriage This includes labour exploitation, s*x trafficking, and forced marriage. Direct services include: assistance with paperwork, translation and interpretation, support when dealing with law enforcement or judicial systems, referral to appropriate counsel including immigration lawyers, orientation to local social services, skills

development, and counselling to support individuals facing challenges due to trauma. W.E.C.E.N works with community organizations to identify risk factors and vulnerabilities, as well as providing intensive care management to assist in addressing factors which encourages coordination and helps to prevent recidivism. This includes direct engagement with service users and coordinators, as well as providing education tools to our various community partners. W.E.C.E.N partners with organizations locally in the Windsor-Ess*x community, and nationally across Canada, to influence systemic change and legislative reform in the interest of bettering the prevention, management, and response to exploitation in our country.
