It has been a busy few months at Veterans Farm Project Society! Community is at the heart of everything we do, and these past few days have been a perfect example of that. 🌿
​Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
​Cold Crop Grow Bag Workshop: We had a great time partnering with Soldier On / Sans Limites to get these cool-weather crops started.
​Garden Transitions: A huge thank you to the staff from Halifax & Region Military Family Resource Centre for the heavy lifting! They helped us dig up our perennial beds to make way for some exciting changes coming this summer, with expert help from Sunflower Contracting.
​Fresh Paint: Today, we are giving the workshop a makeover with the team from Landing Strong in Windsor. 💪
​Big things are growing this summer. Stay tuned!

Such a fun, but chilly day to learn about making great soil and planting hardy veggies.
Everyone took home their own garden to go and we hope you’re having great success!

We had 50 veterans participate over two days. Such fun and laughs 😁🪴

P.S sorry the barn wasn’t fully complete. It’s now very pretty and ready for more adventures. ☀️🌻
