📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE — GRAND FINALE CANCELLED

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2nd Annual Picnic in the Park Series Food Drive Grand Finale Family Movie Night at New Song Park.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for our finale. With the condition of the grounds following the recent rain, we simply aren't able to safely hold the event as planned.

💙💛 While this isn't how we wanted to finish our 2026 Picnic in the Park Series, what an incredible summer it has been!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated food, volunteered, sponsored our events, hosted us, participated as a vendor, or simply brought their family out to support our community. Every donation and every person who participated helped make this year's series a success.

But we're certainly not finished for the year! There is lots more Optimism ahead:

⛳ Junior Golf Challenge – Sutton Creek Golf Club
📅 Saturday, September 26, 2026
⏰ 1:00 PM
🏌️ Open to junior golfers of all skill levels — including kids who have never played before!

🍝 Charity Pasta Night – Giovanni Caboto Club
📅 Wednesday, October 7, 2026
⏰ 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
🍝 Come enjoy a great meal while helping us continue supporting our community!

There is always something happening with the Optimist Club of South Windsor! 💙💛

Hello! I’m offering a Reiki day on Saturday October 10th, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the charity: Feeding Windsor Essex County ❤️🙏

I’ll be offering 30 minute Reiki Healing Sessions for $30, from 10 am to 2 pm. To book a time, please send an email to: [email protected]

Reiki treatments are a gentle hands-on clearing of the individual’s energy system. Reiki promotes the body's natural healing processes, brings harmony and balance, improves emotional, mental and spiritual well-being while releasing stress, negativity and anxiety, Reiki also helps to restore and strengthen personal energy levels.

Please share this post, there are many that are in need of some love and healing, and it’s a great charity to support as so many are struggling financially.

Thank you ❤️🙏
