Free after-school program for children with a focus on academic and social-emotional learning AYM is currently working hard to expand!

About AYM
Advocating Young Minds is a free after-school program for children and youth in grades 1-8. The program focuses on learning activities to increase academic skills and group activities that foster social-emotional learning. AYM is a project of the Sandwich Teen Action Group (STAG) but no longer operates out of their facility. This would make our services more accessible to children, youth, and families! To accomplish this, we are always looking to build relationships with sponsors, donors, organizations, businesses, and volunteers! Did you know AYM is completely run by volunteers and donations? To help out or to get involved, please contact us! Mission:
Connect children and youth with positive spaces, opportunities, and mentors in their communities to increase academic skills and foster social-emotional learning. Vision:
Marginalized children and youth have equitable access to opportunities to reach their full potential

Other Projects:
Christmas Stocking Drive
Community Holiday Dinner Event
Winter Clothes Drive
Open Food Cupboard for Families
Community Engagement Events and Outings

We wanted to give a huge thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation! Through OTF's grow grant, we have been able to expand our programming and implement cirriculum focused on social emotional learning for the youth at AYM over the last three years.

We are extremely grateful that we were given this opportunity! We have grown tremendously and will continue to promote SEL skills in our youth and ourselves!
